Superstar couple Beyonce and Jay-Z welcomed a healthy baby girl late on Saturday (January 7) in New York City. According to reports the new mother and her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, are reportedly fine. The girl is the first child for Jay-Z and Beyonce and was one of the most scrutinized pregnancies in recent memory.

“The most beautiful girl in the world,” Beyoncé’s sister, Solange Knowles tweeted Sunday morning.

“Congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z,” hip hop mogul Russell Simmons tweeted. Pop superstar Rihanna tweeted, “Welcome to the the world princess carter! Love aunty rih.”
