Earwax Records opened in 1992 as an Atlanta Music Retailer servicing DJ’s and music lovers alike with hard to find music. As Atlanta took its place in music history, Earwax was credited as the first Atlanta retailer to carry an extensive selection of Hip Hop and rap music.
For over 16 years, Earwax provided a gathering place for the public, music lovers and a back drop for DJ’s, artists, music producers, beat seekers, vinyl junkies, advice seekers, hookup seekers, promoters, entertainers, media events, live performances, music videos, event seekers, news,
journalist, TV shows, cable networks, world music releases,
listening sessions,
2nd Saturday’s
and a host of other really cool and unique projects. Earwax Records has lent a hand directly or indirectly to Every major urban artist and music movement that came out of Atlanta during this time.
In 2003 Earwax moved from 1025 Peachtree Street to 565 Spring Street. One block south of the Varsity. This was the first opportunity to create the Earwax Bat Cave and The World Famous Earwax Vinyl Vaults. People came from all continents to visit the vaults.

In 2008 as music sales and distribution continued the paradigm shift online, Earwax closed as an Atlanta brick and mortar store and became available only as an online retailer at EarwaxOnline.com.

An easier transition for Earwax because since 1997 Earwax Online Media had grown to include 5 video networks, 2 newsletters, 20+ opt in niche specific email lists, 2 online music stores, blogs and a host of social media networks including Twitter, YouTube, MySpace and Facebook. Earwax Digital powers several websites with daily entertainment and news content.
EarwaxOnline.com retail includes sales of music, movies, concerts, games & accessories. Media includes CDs, DVDs, Vinyl and MP3.
